It's a Circus Out There

Yep, it's that time of the year. You know, that time where you find yourself having to write about your goals, challenges, or whatever else is relevant on yet another scholarship application. You’ve already started applying to what seems like a million different scholarships, but somehow every essay prompt is just different enough that you’ve had to completely start over on each one—it’s almost beginning to feel like a joke. And because there's big money riding on the line, there's even more pressure to make sure you're delivering some high-flying responses. Luckily, there's a trick to help you totally slay your essays, and implementing it is a lot easier than you might think.

When you take the time to organize your thoughts, essay writing isn’t as difficult as it might seem. Seriously. When you give yourself time to think about a plan of action for your essay, you can nail down a solid outline instead of having to fumble through a fully written paper. Once that's done, all you've got to do is start filling in the outline with sentences. It's that easy! And trust us when we say it will go a lot faster than starting from a blank page. So while writing scholarship essays might have you feeling like a court jester, just know all your hard work can really pay off.
