Learning the Science of Being Happy and Healthy

 

Not all kids are going to hear the ubiquitous “What do you want to be when you grow up?” question the same way. Thirteen-year-old Logan LaPlante’s response to the query? He wants to be happy and healthy. To meet his simple-yet-lofty goal, he’s hacking his education—using truly unique experiences and community engagement to supplement his more traditional book learning.

Watch Logan explain how he’s going about his education differently in a talk from TEDx at the University of Nevada. He’s using the hacker mindset to innovate and change his personal educational process to focus on that big health and happiness how-to factor.
