Connecting the Best

Thanks to the information-giving nature of Twitter, we found an incredible something called QuestBridge via this New York Times article. Educators, they are doing some seriously good stuff. Basically, they’re helping low-income students who are academically superb not only get noticed, but accepted into some of the best colleges in the nation.

QuestBridge reports that "there is a surplus of academically talented low-income high school students not applying to our nation's best colleges." These are the students QuestBridge finds. Once identified, they are matched with the collge that best matches their abilities, while also creating a network of support that ensures they’ll be as successful as possible.

Read up on this amazing program and think of some TXGU students who might be a natural fit. The application is waiting! (It’s free and so worth it.)
